Partially, as the rioters’ repository of knowledge is very impoverished & their critical faculties grossly underdeveloped. But this is only half the story. Reich’s ‘Mass Psychology of Fascism’ reveals the unconscious dynamics behind their racist beliefs & destructive behaviour.
