I'm in love with this. When an interviewer for The Paris Review asked the poet James Wright (1927-1980) about the process of creation, he gave the wildest answer ever:

My students gave me a book in which they'd secretly written down every slightly unhinged thing I'd said that semester. Here's a page from it.

My little one starts school tomorrow. I feel...everything.
