I DETEST how autistics are considered too needy, too sensitive, too attention-seeking.
Autistic kids in particular become broken by this thinking & approach.
Just look for what they need & what they're asking for because I'd guess it's not much more than a little understanding.

I had an idea—THE SECOND CHANCE BOOK FEST. An IRL book fest exclusively for all the authors who debuted during the pandemic. I’m putting it out there bc I hope somebody else takes this and does the work to make it happen. Will gladly moderate a panel though.

There's a VIC Premier's Children's Literature Award for the first time since '95. Thanks to Steve Dimopoulos MP Minister for Creative Industries it will equal the others ($25k) and be in the running for the overall $100k prize. A simple fix with so much meaning. Thanks to all who helped.
