The only exception to my temporary ban on buying books! Jacqueline Reiter’s bio of Sir Home Popham from Helion & Company Ltd
I did a podcast with Chris Sams for History Hack -- it was a lot of fun: we did it in pretty much one take but it turns out I can, in fact, yak on about Popham unscripted for an hour 😂 Thank you for having me, Chris! #QuicksilverCaptain
Study the era of military history in which fortress-based strategy and linear battles gave way to the nation-in-arms and the beginnings of total war. Click below to browse all books in the Helion & Company Ltd 'From Reason to Revolution' series! 👉 tinyurl.com/FromReasonToRe…
A mankini Chris Sams 🍒 & a somewhat questionable beardy Pardre in the toon for this pod, all seemed quite appt for the amazing story told by Jacqueline Reiter in a new publication about the life of ‘Sir Home Popham’ hear about it here ⬇️🎙️🎙️
The relief when you run through your keynote speech for the Napoleonic & Revolutionary War Graves Charity War and Peace conference and it's not a pile of hot, steaming garbage (probably)
On the train after Napoleonic & Revolutionary War Graves Charity's "War & Peace" conference. I can't recall having had such a good time in a long while. Every panel I attended was superb, and I have learned so much. Thank you Dr Zack White Dr Graeme Callister Sam Jolley Dr. Luke Reynolds for an amazing time!
