An exciting trip to London to visit the Houses of Parliament! The children were fascinated to hear the House of Lords discussing in-app purchases within online gaming!

Year 6 were particularly excited to meet our local MP! Thank you so much for your time Helen Whately MP and for inviting the children to write you in the future. As you may have gathered, we have a number of budding politicians who may well take you up on this offer!

Our children (and staff!) were fascinated by Mr Harvey’s assembly, as he told us all about his journey towards swimming the channel in August 2023. It is so inspiring for the children that one of their teachers is working towards this remarkable goal! 🇫🇷 🏊‍♂️ 🇬🇧

Mr Radu led today’s assembly. He works in the fruit industry and taught the children about bees. In an amazing coincidence, a bee chose to join our assembly from outside, and rested on my forehead. Thank you Mr Radu for the presentation… and for safely removing the bee! 🏃🏽 🐝

We were all inspired and entertained by visiting author Andrew Clover today. Andrew wowed the children with his hilarious stories, and shared several great tips that will make the children’s own writing more interesting and entertaining.

Another wonderful assembly led by Rev Alison Walker from Kent College Canterbury Rev Alison showed the children how to make Christmas pudding… with a little help from some volunteers! 🥣

Thank you Dance Days - Educational Dance Workshops for an excellent day of Chinese New Year dance workshops. Pupils of all ages loved this experience, and it was also a fun way of helping our children to understand how a different culture celebrates an important festival. 🇨🇳 🐉
