Love that Brian Granata is bringing men's and women's wrestling programs to yet another institution. He was an integral part of the athletics administration while I was with Stevens Ducks!

This is not youth sports - it's club sports. When you have a bunch of people demanding money to make someone's kid the next MLB star, the focus shifts to the result over development and then emotion boils over. The answer is simple: stop paying clubs at 10 (or 12 or 14)!

Very few of these "coaches" are even qualified to offer these "services." Almost none of them have ever developed an athlete to that level. It is mind-blowing to me that parents pay the kind of money they do to people with no qualifications or track record.

Oblivious takes, the point of the current process is to reduce incentives for big weight cuts. The below only encourages it. Athletes need to select an appropriate, safe weight. Vinesh situation is nuanced, but changing UWW rules to correct WFI selection process isn't it.
