What a beautiful evening with Solstice Arts Centre for their second #takemetotheriver event. Just fantastic contributions from Eimear ClowryDelaney and TP Cassidy also. Two great people I knew anyway. Lovely night taking in all senses. Sights, smells, sounds and feel of the Boyne to us! ๐๐๐ฆโโฌ๐ชณ๐
Lovely wildlife walk with National Parks and Wildlife Service ranger Triona Finnan and #Westmeath biodiversity officer Christina Sweeney to conclude #biodiversityweek last Sunday in Coolure Demense. Located within the important Lough Derravaragh area for action with Local Authority Waters Programme. ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ณ๐

This national biodiversity week, I am enthused by the community groups and organisations across Ireland striving to make change happen. I salute them and feel privileged to work with some. Their amazing Ethos is key to meeting our climate, biodiversity, and water goals! ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐ช

Glad to support Ricky and Offaly County Council at #wetlands #Tullamore with Kate. An area with real biodiversity value bringing people back to living waters! 87% of our wetlands globally have diminished globally in the last 300 years. Their vital for carbon sequestration too. ๐๐๏ธ๐๐๐ชฒ
Habitat restoration in the Boyne Catchment!
Huge thanks to Maureen Byrne and Robert Bergin of Inland Fisheries Ireland for joining up with me today to facilitate a water themed #BiodiversityWeek event in Dalgan Park. Was great to get into the Skane and chat #WaterQuality too!๐ฆ
I'll be joining Ricky Whelan tomorrow to collect some of the pond life to display and talk briefly about why wetlands are important. Looking forward to supporting my colleagues in biodiversity and climate with Local Authority Waters Programme ๐๐๐๐ชณ๐๐ณ
