How can memories persist in the brain when their properties and supporting biological substrates change over time and experiences? Our latest work newly published in Science Magazine proposes that a balance between memory dynamics and persistence is achieved through the
New Preprint!🚨A really fun project because it (i) had a cool design and interesting results, and (ii) involved working with Emiko Muraki and Penny Pexman! Emiko led this work and was funded by Mitacs and Bangor Imaging Unit to scan in our world class imaging centre at Bangor Psychology
My new preprint is out! Using EEG and decoding analyses, we find direct evidence for the Opposing Process Theory of perception, while showing dynamic effects across over time. ryszard auksztulewicz Federico De Martino Caspar Schwiedrzik biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Hugely excited that this work with Martin Hebart and Chris Baker is now out in Nature Human Behaviour !!! By moving from a category-focused to a behaviour-focused model, we identified behaviourally relevant object information throughout visual cortex. nature.com/articles/s4156…
Insight into hippocampal dentate gyrus contributions to memory and perception, led by the incomparable Krista Mitchnick - this work emphasizes the value of single cases in understanding brain-behaviour relations.
