Some of the stories we are receiving of women’s experiences in The Church of England are truly horrifying. Come and read them and add your own story to the #quiltofrage at Women and the Church stand Greenbelt Festival
Two inspiring talks by Dr Sharon Jagger & Dr Sarah Scholfield to help us see that equality for women is not only just - it's true to the Gospel and necessary for all to thrive. Let's start by bringing discrimination against women in The Church of England to an end. eventbrite.co.uk/e/not-equal-ye…
Lord Scriven: 'In practice, what “mutual flourishing” means is that individual churches can refuse to accept women as priests or vicars. The Church of England also permits churches to reject the authority of a female bishop.
Thank you Paul Scriven🔶️🇺🇦 for speaking truth to power in House of Lords about The Church of England's ongoing discrimination against women. A great failure when our state Church shd be setting an example on equality for women in a world that has normalised discrimination and oppression.
More than happy to call out how the present leadership of the The Church of England continues to allow institutional misogyny to flourish in its ranks!
The reason none of these highly qualified & experienced suffragans are diocesans is due to institutional discrimination against women in The Church of England - it's time to bring this to an end. Come to the next #NotEqualYet talks on 12 Oct in-person & online eventbrite.co.uk/e/not-equal-ye…
It’s a disgrace. If The Church of England truly wants women to flourish it can start by treating us equally. And apologising for the centuries of belittling that we’ve had to endure and continue to endure. eventbrite.com/e/not-equal-ye…
Let's be clear - bishops are backing much needed REFORMS to the CNC process on appointing diocesans - not simplifications, as it's euphemistically put by The Church of England. Hopefully to out, among other things, the discrimination against female candidates churchofengland.org/media/press-re…

At the root of violence against women and girls is an understanding that women and girls are lesser than men and their roles need to be limited and controlled. It is time for ongoing discrimination in The Church of England to end. Church Times eventbrite.co.uk/e/not-equal-ye…
I was not making a direct comparison. I was saying that it’s hard for The Church of England to speak out against discrimination of women in other parts of the world when we continue to discriminate ourselves.
MartineOborne The Church of England It’s so important to remember that under Allport’s scale there is only 5 steps between speaking badly of a part of society and murder. We have to make discrimination unacceptable and that starts by not allowing it to progress in the early stages. 📷 credit unknown
#MohammedAlFayed -It’s hard for women to speak truth to power when we have stoic docility (aka gracious restraint in The Church of England) drilled into us from an early age. When will our state church appoint a head of justice for women to speak out for women? eventbrite.com/e/not-equal-ye…
As Kristin DuMez Kristin Du Mez says about the rise of patriarchy networks "& then there are the women". 👉👉"We need to talk about how girls and women are taught to internalize patriarchy." Andrea Chalupa
