Very sad news. I was fortunate to have met and interacted with Prof. Michl on a visit to CU Boulder Chemistry in fall 2022. He was a legendary scientist and was very gracious to me.
Check out Xiaotong Li paper that highlights the effect of metal substitution on voltage hysteresis in anion redox materials in Chemistry of Materials ! Even rxns that form persulfides can get away with a 50 mV hysteresis if the right metal is in there! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acβ¦
If anyone is interested in a postdoc position studying the effect of electrolyte composition on electrochemical CO2 reduction in Liquid Sunlight Alliance, please send me an email with your CV with a subject line: "CO2R postdoc." We have some cool results to understand!
I hear this paper is a big deal. Congrats to The See Group!

.Zac iton's last paper π₯² in The See Group just came out in Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JACS) today! A beautiful paper on the MPS3 framework as a modular host for mobile, solvated ions (incl aprotic solv!).
