Mic drop. My last panel presentation as National Association of Insurance Commissioners CEO. And what a great group to share this moment with - petra hielkema šŖšŗ (she/her), Susan Neely, John Huff and our moderator Christine Holmes from EY US. Many thanks to Global Insurance Symposium and the @IowaInsDiv for the invite. Mike out.
ItĀ was my pleasure to share the stage once again with Mike Consedine as he completes his tenure as CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. We expressed appreciation for Mikeās talented and effective #leadership for sound insurance regulation & policy on behalf of consumers & stakeholder communities.
#TravelersInstitute President Joan Woodward sat down with Mike Consedine, CEO of National Association of Insurance Commissioners, to gain insight about the challenges and opportunities insurance regulators are facing today. Watch the #WednesdayswithWoodward webinar replay: travl.rs/3N8Rfmw
There are no āgoodbyesā in our insurance regulatory world, only āuntil latersā. Today, I start my next personal and professional chapter but I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the National Association of Insurance Commissioners as #CEO, its incredible members, and a staff team that was my family. Until laterā¦
My time at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners served me well when it comes to #stormpreperation. Even something as simple as some thick blankets and storage lids can mitigate #hail #damage to vehicles. It also serves as the perfect way to capture ice for your #hailhattan.
Major #fire at Tiffany & Co. #NYC flagship store. Hope everyone is ok!
Strong stand by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in defense of the work that every state Ins. regulator does every day to protect consumers and their markets. Additional and punitive regulation by the #DOL is not going to help solve the retirement and savings crisis in the US. #fiduciaryrule
I was deeply honored to have been recognized last night by my #IAIS colleagues as a Distinguished Fellow. Itās been a privilege contributing to intāl insurance standard setting for the last decade as part of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and now in my role with Athene as a stakeholder.
So on one of the busiest travel days of the year, the Denver Int'l Airport terminal train seem to be stuck/delayed again. Things could get ugly quickly.
Kudos to National Association of Insurance Commissioners members for their extraordinarily strong critique of the U.S. Department of Laborās proposed fiduciary rule that undermines years of efforts by state insurance regulators to implement enhanced regulation to both protect and provide for US consumers. content.naic.org/article/naic-sā¦
Congratulations to MA Cmr. Gary Anderson who was just named National Association of Insurance Commissioners #CEO. Gary will be an amazing leader and continued strong advocate for our state based system domestically and internationally. Congrats Gary!
The U.S. Department of Labor #fiduciaryrule is bad for consumers. It will reduce access to desperately needed retirement products when Americans need them most and will serve to only deepen the savings crisis in this country. Kudos to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and Jon Godfread for taking such strong stands.
Couldnāt agree more Susan Neely! The #fiduciaryrule is bad for consumers and will only deepen the retirement crisis in the US. And it unnecessarily preempts state regulations and state regulators who have demonstrated over and over again their commitment to consumer protection.
