The SNP had a strong start on universal free school meals but has lost its way. Others kept going with Wales becoming the first UK nation to rollout universal free schools meals and successful schemes in London and Inverclyde. It is possible when the political will exists.

Scotland’s drug and alcohol emergency is killing our loved ones in record numbers and is hurting our communities, public services and economy. It’s worrying that this was not even mentioned by the First Minister in his Programme for Government statement.
