Very proud to see two of my colleagues present JavaZone. Too bad I can't join you guys, but I'm sure you'll do an amazing job! #java #community #knowledge #awesomesauce

Standing on somebody else's shoulders isn't something to be ashamed of. You can mention it, acknowledge their work and thank them for it. Everybody wins. Copying somebody else's works: instant box of shame. It's called plagiarism and worthy of punishment.

I would like to thank JavaZone and everyone involved in making this event possible. Iโ€™ve had the honour to give my own session, meet new people and learn a lot in the process and the other talks. Canโ€™t wait until next time!

This goes for everything, from performance to frameworks to architectures. Stay curious, folks! ๐Ÿ˜Š don't just judge the decisions of others without asking the "why?". The "why" should be part of your documentation. Arc42 covers this pretty nicely. arc42.org/overview

Just got my feedback from JavaZone, and Iโ€™m incredibly grateful! ๐Ÿ’š With 43 ratings, my talk scored high for enjoyment (4.9/5) and usefulness (4.8/5). So glad it resonated with so many! Loved hearing: โ€œPerhaps the most important talk of today.โ€ ๐Ÿฅฐ

We have always been saying software development is not all about code, but also about humans. And yet we focused mostly on code. Now that AI is slowly getting better at coding, is it time for us to focus more on "human-side" of software development? ๐Ÿค” * Talk to end-users and

Is a partition method in a collections API (like partitioningBy(Predicate) in Java's Collectors class) more like filtering, grouping, or both? A Predicate parameter suggests filtering. A Map return type suggests grouping. Asking for a friend.

#Java 23 has arrived, and it brings a truckload of changes! For example, #Markdown in JavaDoc is now supported, and two brand-new features have been added: module import declarations and primitive type patterns. My blog post has all the info! โคต๏ธ hanno.codes/2024/09/17/javโ€ฆ
