ChillDKG finally has a sister BIP that specifies the signing part of FROST! The draft already has reference implementation & test vectors. If you've looked at BIP MuSig before, this should look very familiar.

Our research team dropped a new BIP draft to finally specify secure distributed key generation as part of FROST for Bitcoin. We're calling it "ChillDKG". 🧊🥶 bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/the-…

Today we disclose Dark Skippy - a powerful new method for a malicious signing device to leak secret keys. With a modified signing function, a device can efficiently and covertly exfiltrate a master secret seed by embedding it within transaction signatures.

Salvatore Ingala (@salvatoshi) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Twisting the idea from evil to benign: what would do with 6-8 bytes of free, private storage for each signature? Maybe your #miniscript BIP-388 wallet policy backup? A semi-serious thread🧵

My thinking is that it's possible to achieve security in a narrow but important definition: security against a "covert" HWW attacker. A covert HWW attacker will not make the device behave in any way that a user can distinguish it from an honest HWW.

Great work by ncklr, яobin linus and others. Looking forward to co-operate and start building with joint efforts, avoiding creation of siloed tech stacks.

Can confirm that the video is not fake and that it captures the sentiment of the group involved in the demo. We were instantly on-boarded without an on-chain tx, sent funds through the LN and did a unilateral exit (which is pending). Feels like I will have to learn more about

This is an excellent intro to Shielded CSV 🛡️, recorded before we settled on the name of the protocol. It also goes a little bit into the relationship and differences between zkCoins and Shielded CSV.
