INCREASED SECURITY: Students at Oak Hills Local Schools will see added police presence on campus today. This comes after a threat made on social media - similar to the ones made to other schools across greater Cincinnati. WLWT was live this morning at Oak Hills High School

Crews were called to a multi-story building fire on the West End around 2a. Fire officials tell us there are no reported injuries. Because the flames were so intense, crews fought the fire from outside the building. WLWT

NOW: A beautiful event at the University of Cincinnati this morning. The ninth annual 9/11 stair run is underway. Hundreds of students, first responders, and people from our area are paying respects to those who lost their lives 23 years ago. They’ll run around Nippert

WATCH: WLWT was live from the University of Cincinnati just before the 9/11 stair run took off. Many runners had on shirts that said “Remember, Reflect, Respect with every step.” They’re all trying to make sure no one ever forgets what happened on 9/11/2001.

COMMUTER ALERT: If you’ve driven in Mount Lookout recently, you’ve likely seen more construction than normal. It’s part of a major safety upgrade to Linwood Avenue. The Mount Lookout community council says while it might cause traffic delays, this construction is necessary.

BREAKING: An overnight fire at a home in Walton, Kentucky has restarted. Crews were originally called here around 1am. WLWT was on scene and called firefighters as we watched it start up again. No injuries. Cause of the fire still under investigation.

BREAKING: Police say a pedestrian was struck by a car on the corner of 5th and Walnut Street. The car drove off. WLWT was told the car had a green light but was turning left and didn’t yield. Pedestrian transported to the hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries.
