Israeli officials seized broadcasting equipment belonging to The Associated Press on Tuesday, accusing the news organization of violating a new media law.

The U.S. privately urged the Israeli government to reverse the decision, two senior U.S. officials said.

It’s good to see a rapid reversal of this outrageous decision, but The Associated Press never should have been blocked from covering Gaza, nor should other media. The ban on Al Jazeera PR must also be immediately reversed- and the international community should show the same support it showed today.
