During a roundtable with local leaders and tourism police in #CostaRica, Parliamentary Secretary Damoff underscored Canada’s commitment to addressing sexual and gender-based violence and engaged on the specific approaches adopted by Costa Rica.

Parliamentary Secretary Damoff met with Canada in Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua staff, who are actively advancing Canada’s bilateral relations with #CostaRica, as well as assisting Canadians, and thanked them for their hard work and dedication.

Parliamentary Secretary Damoff and Ambassador Elizabeth Williams met with Angie Cruickshank, the Ombudsperson for #CostaRica. During this meeting, PS Damoff highlighted Canada’s support for human rights, gender equality, and media freedom.

On her last day in #CostaRica, Parliamentary Secretary Damoff met with representatives of IOM - UN Migration 🇺🇳 and held a productive meeting focused on irregular migration & forced displacement, as well as on the strengthening of refugees' protection and the rights of migrants.
