First day of the conference on the philosophy of experiment, organized by Richard Dawid (Stockholm) and Harald A. Wiltsche (Linköping)
This looks amazing! Sad I’ll be travelling and miss it. But!I’m heading to LiU Philosophy&Applied Ethics for a three-day workshop on *The role of Qualitative methods in Philosophy* - so hopefully I’ll get plenty of Phil-method this week 😁❄️ We’ll have to compare notes at some point.
Our Harald A. Wiltsche just published an edited volume on QBism and Phenomenology with Routledge. Congratulations!
First day of a workshops on qualitative methods in philosophy at Vadstena, co-organized by Harald A. Wiltsche
2nd half of today had thoughts on epistemic exploitation by Merel Talbi and accounts of qual critical phenomenology from Lisa Guenther (on prison studies) and Kristin Zeiler (on body norms and feminist techsci) +‘Fika’ in a little yellow house + monastery history in a wine cellar
More from ‘the role of qual research in philosophy’ LiU Philosophy&Applied Ethics Gestalt psychology, Wittgenstein, phenomenology, praxiography, and ethnomethodology all in one presentation from Phil Hutchinson - my philosophy heart is bursting 🤩 Just missing a little American pragmatism 😏
The Swedish mail moose has finally delivered the physical copies of Harald A. Wiltsche's most recent edited volume on phenomenology and QBism. Yay!
2 year Post-Doc in a project in which Harald A. Wiltsche is involved. The area is philosophy of physics, knowledge of QBism and phenomenology is an advantage but not absolutely necessary. Send an email to [email protected] if you want more. jobs.royalholloway.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?r…
We are very concerned hearing about the plans to close the excellent Department of Philosophy at University of Kent. We do hope that the VC reconsiders this shortsighted decision.
Hardly surprising but still shocking: University of Kent goes ahead with its plans "to phase out Anthropology, Art History, Health & Social Care, Journalism, Music & Audio Technology, and Philosophy/Religious Studies." kent.ac.uk/news/statement…
Science editor-in-chief suggests that mandatory philosophy of science classes for STEM undergrads is crucial for battling erosion of public trust in science. Linköpings universitet, wdyt? We are game, should we be the first Swedish uni to implement this? science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
