Some great views of Hobbies hunting dragonflies on the North Brooks ( Hanger View/Jupp's View). Migration underway with Yellow Wagtails, Whinchat, Spotted Flycatcher and Redstart over the past couple of days. These beautiful butterfly photos came from volunteer Graham Osborne.

Here's one of my seasonal favourites for #WildlifeWednesday...the Spotted Flycatcher. As the name suggests it will catch flies but wasps and bees are also on the menu! They'll make them safe to eat by rubbing the stinger against their perch to remove it. 📷Graham Osborne

A selection of sightings from a sunnier day - photos from volunteer Graham. The viewing platforms at the start of the seasonal wetland discovery trail have been a good place for dragonfly & damselfly spotting. 📷Red Admiral, Willow Emerald, Grey Wagtail and Common Lizard.

When I arrived this morning, the sightings board from Friday had just one bird listed (a Blackcap), so I'm delighted to present you with a lovely full board from today at Pulborough Brooks.

At the end of the day the sun came out and the Ivy by the Welcome Hut was covered with insects; European Hornets, Ivy Bees, Red Admiral, Field Digger Wasps and hoverflies (including the 'batman' hoverfly, 'hornet' hoverfly and Great Pied Hoverfly). It was incredible! 📷Ivy Bee

In my garden a Blackcap has found the glossy purple elderberries and at the reserve a gang of noisy young starlings has been feasting on blackberries
