The scale for men's NCAA Lacrosse championships has a new low end after today's snoozer. 'Cuse/Cornell in '09 is the upper limit. Between ND's dominance and the 2-hr weather delay, no championship game has ever been less thrilling. Congrats, Irish on a dominant repeat campaign.

Also, I will stand up and own that I critized Coach Bates for his draft... I though they really stretched taking Woodward in the 1st round. I'm eating crow now. He grew week after week and was such a key today. Way to prove me wrong.

One final thought... if Chris Bates and Kyle Whittingham haven't met yet, they really need to. I can't think of more similar coaches from different sports in the same market. #NextManUp and #TrustTheProcess. They embody great coaching.
