May 3rd is the deadline to submit papers to the Transatlantic Workshop on the Economics of Crime, which will be in Zurich at the ETH on Oct 4-5!

One of the best conferences on empirical, causal work on crime/CJ. And a great chance to spend time with the many wonderful European scholars working in this space.

New paper: How can you tell if a transformer has the right world model? We trained a transformer to predict directions for NYC taxi rides. The model was good. It could find shortest paths between new points But had it built a map of NYC? We reconstructed its map and found this:
