Bradford's Labour-run council are planning to reduce opening hrs of Shipley Library. This is largely due to years of Tory cuts to council budgets, but the Labour gov't now need to properly fund local councils. Otherwise we'll know for certain we are getting austerity 2.0.

"We recognise that Bradford Council funding has been decimated by 14 years of Tory gov'ts and call on the new Labour gov't to properly fund local councils in their autumn budget so that essential public services like Shipley Library are protected." πŸ—£ Green Cllr Anna Watson.

Good that Shipley MP Anna Dixon has taken onboard our concerns about the planned Shipley Eastern Bypass. This was Philip Davies' pet project that would have seen millions spent on increasing emissions. The Labour gov't need to ditch it and spend the money on buses and bikes.

β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή The Conservatives broke our NHS. πŸ₯€ But Labour's plan to revive it involves opening the door to even more private sector involvement. πŸ’š Only the Green Party would properly fund our NHS and ensure we have a health service run for people, not profit
