Sickens me that for 10 months we marched peacefully to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and we were framed and smeared as violent, divisive and driven by hate. Then actual fascists start rioting, looting and engaging in racist violence and there’s barely a murmur.

At this point I just don’t know what to say anymore. Even when we are the victims of race riots we are forever the enemy, forever dehumanised. What is there left to say to a system, a state, a media that is so rigged against us that it can’t see us as anything but the villain

I really hate that since the riots began, I cant help but constantly wonder whether people I interact with/walk past everyday secretly hate me simply for how I look. But I remind myself that distrust between communities is exactly what the far right want and we can’t let them win
