Seeing all of the realizations how hard it is to electrify transportation finally hitting the main media. I think the next 2 years will be rough as the criticism will only grow. We are on our way to the trough of Disillusionment.

Saw my first cybertruck today and I was impressed. They managed to make something even uglier in real life than it was in the renderings. Why.

I swear if I see another article with an AI generated image coming from the prompt of what can be easily assumed is the article's title. I'm gonna barf.

I think people don’t fully appreciate the amazing emissions change LA has gone through over the past 40 years. I grew up never seeing pictures of LA’s mountains, just the pollution. But I wake up every morning and can see these beauties from 30 miles away.

I’m actually surprised I don’t see this more often. Other than sticking it on a light pole, are there ways to prevent this?

Anyone who thinks battery electric class 8 semi’s aren’t going to be a thing should visit LA. It’s starting to be a daily occurrence. Kudos to those companies out there showing the world what’s possible.

Solely talking about positive effects on climate change. Is it better to create a product that solves a problem in the system or to create a better system to deploy a product? Any examples?

This NASA visualisation has it all: It shows the CO2 emitted into the earth's atmosphere + clarifies who is responsible for the climate crisis: we, the Global North. 1/4

The crowdstrike outage really goes to show how consolidated these big tech companies have become. The fact that one software update can cause so many issues seems to acknowledge the need for a more distributed IT approach. Might be a good time for some new players to start up

It’s a broken business model. With no competition, there’s no reason to waste money & get ratepayers to pay you a return on it.

Contracting takes up a surprising amount of time for hardtech builders. We’re publishing Frontier’s offtake template (iterated on over $300M+ in carbon removal deals) with the hope it might help other builders/buyers save valuable time.

This is amazing. I’m a firm believer that a barrier to growth of clean energy is the lack of standardized contracts. The more contracts out in the world, the more that we can align with comparable terms. No more “I’ve never reviewed this type of contract before” delays.

I’d argue one of the biggest motivators for having financial security while living in California is so that you can pay someone else to go to the DMV for you.

Just caught a really awesome quote from a Steven Bartlett podcast. “But the problem is you can either spend a bunch of time creating an incredible product once or you can spend the rest of life marketing and doing sales.” 100% agree. open.spotify.com/episode/0N8pwL…

Is the Swell news a case of investing in the wrong market or that the entire concept of VPP’s isn’t providing the returns that were expected? Everyone says VPP’s are the future, and I agree, but why would Swell end this way if that were true? Duncan S. Campbell thoughts?
