# OpenSourceUnleashed RECAP: This Saturday we had a chance to sponsor & attend the Open Source event at COICT FinHub_COICT . Was great to see so many enthusiastic minds building towards a more resilient future in Tanzania! GitHub Postman Thread:🧵

We started off with Avi presenting the first ever Swahili coding language in #Nuru Nuru . Imagine the possibilities of a local infra, local tools, local solutions all in Swahili! ⚡️

We then had a young energizer where students interacted, answered questions for prizes before following an in depth presentation on the vision for Dunia Yetu: a digital sovereign future for all Tanzanians. We also went over how setting up nodes and farms work on ThreeFold

It was then followed by Gideon, Lead dev from Ramani where he went over the role of Open Source and how it helps Ramani in their building and operations. He also provided some valuable tips to students building open source projects and looking to have a career in tech🌱

The day ended with a presentation from Tahaa Farooq on urchinsec and Cybersecurity. How to grow your career in the sector, how to look for bug bounties and much more!
