Such a great visit to UFNephrology today! Hannah Costello gave an AMAZING talk on circadian rhythms, blood pressure regulation and renal function! #Gumzlab #UFPandA Ravi Sharma
An honor to have our #circadian guru, Dr. Dr. Michelle Gumz and team with us today. A wonderful talk by Dr. Hannah Costello filled with noble experiments and original data from #Gumzlab. It was refreshing to see so many renal physiologists and nephrologists in the room UFNephrology.
A pleasure to work with the #POCUS guru, NephroPOCUS and the prominent cardiologist, Frederik H. Verbrugge. The key role of #cardiac dysfunction in pathophysiology of #hepatorenal syndrome is the focus of this paper. Thanks to Prakash Gudsoorkar and Juan Carlos Q Velez for the invite. UFNephrology
While #POCUS is established as a reliable way of assessing volume in a variety of settings, it can play a central role in hepato(cardio)renal syndrome where assessment of volume status is notoriously challenging while the management almost fully relies on it. UFNephrology

It was a wonderful talk filled with interesting data. Not only did it cover the role of #POCUS in #AKI, but it also generated much interest in the audience by discussing how integration of #AI can further potentiate its precision and applicability. In calcium stone formers at high recurrence risk, those patients with CaOx subtype on medical therapy may have the lowest stone event rate. Congratulations on your important study with a long-term follow up which is coming out of UFNephrology multidisciplinary stone clinic. 💐
Many congratulations on your new paper Rupam Ruchi! Not only can the results help increase the awareness of those treating patients with stone disease, but it also reminds of of the importance of metabolic assessment of such patients, which is unfortunately lagging behind.
