A pleasure to work with the #POCUS guru, NephroPOCUS and the prominent cardiologist, Frederik H. Verbrugge. The key role of #cardiac dysfunction in pathophysiology of #hepatorenal syndrome is the focus of this paper. Thanks to Prakash Gudsoorkar and Juan Carlos Q Velez for the invite. UFNephrology

While #POCUS is established as a reliable way of assessing volume in a variety of settings, it can play a central role in hepato(cardio)renal syndrome where assessment of volume status is notoriously challenging while the management almost fully relies on it. UFNephrology

In calcium stone formers at high recurrence risk, those patients with CaOx subtype on medical therapy may have the lowest stone event rate. Congratulations on your important study with a long-term follow up which is coming out of UFNephrology multidisciplinary stone clinic. 💐

Many congratulations on your new paper Rupam Ruchi! Not only can the results help increase the awareness of those treating patients with stone disease, but it also reminds of of the importance of metabolic assessment of such patients, which is unfortunately lagging behind.
