"If it's happening in ag it happens here first," Mike Boehm accurately said to kick off the Groundbreaking Ceremony for NFARMS. The NFARMS platform will be a unique testbed for advancing precision agriculture here at ENREEC Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Last week the Nebraska Biological Systems Engineering hosted a dozen irrigation experts from across the country. We learned about each other's research and extension programs, toured the Valley center pivot manufacturing plant, and visited research sites.
Great seeing my students, Bryan and Martha, as they shared their ongoing projects at West Central to Brazilian producers. Bryan - Data with IoT sensors for smart irrigation scheduling. Martha - optimizing irrigation and nitrogen in cover cropped corn. West Central Research and Extension Center Nebraska Biological Systems Engineering Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources
