Iconic Tarbela Dam turns 50. After completion of civil works, water filling in Dam started in 3rd quarter of 1974. During 50 years of operation, Dam has released 406 MAF water for agriculture and provided 590,361 million units of low-cost hydel electricity to the National Grid.
