Construction of an all-gender public restroom on the Park Promenade starts as early as June 24. The design with the goals of making it a welcoming, safe & clean facility for users of all ages & abilities, accommodating families & expressing the unique character of the Waterfront.

Take a walk up the Salish Steps, which will lead to the Overlook Walk & offer sweeping views of Elliott Bay. Under the protective sheeting are cedar benches, from which you will be able to see activities on the water & promenade below. The opening is slated for later this year.

Under cover of night, we installed the first segment of Oscar Tuazon’s three block long artwork that reminds us of structures that once stood on the waterfront. The furthest north and south posts will include artworks by Randi Purser, and Tyson Simmons and Keith Stevenson.
