We've made a brief return trip to Wogan Cavern to conduct a geophysical survey of the cave floor! Variations in electrical resistivity will hopefully allow us to identify areas of historic disturbance and/or bedrock position, aiding our understanding of the structure of the site
We'll be there! And that is Wogan Cavern on the poster! ☺️
Dr Rob Dinnis is giving another online talk (Weds 21st Feb, 7:30pm), explaining why the initial results of our post-excavation work Wogan Cavern are so exciting! Tickets here via The University of Sussex Archaeological Society: eventbrite.co.uk/e/early-prehis…

In this month's issue of ArchaeologyUK's British Archaeology I set out some of the big challenges our early prehistory faces. The record is at risk and there are still big inequalities in the discipline. Thanks to Prof Cat Jarman FSA💀 for the opportunity and for another great issue of BA.
An important article (and featuring Wogan Cavern). Great work Dr Matt Pope 👍
