For World Book Week we have been looking at the book ‘Tamarind & the star of Ishta’ written by Jasbinder Bilan - I'm meant to be writing... How did you feel when your first book was published? #WorldBookDay2023

This week in computing, year 6 made their very own fairground ride and powered it using a crumble kit. They used coding to program it to turn and light up! Have a look... #computing #coding

We discussed kindness in class today, focusing on challenging and building on each other’s ideas. We found that the use of hand gestures was a great way to politely add to or disagree with each other.

During their discussion on empathy and difference, year 6 utilised their hand gestures to build on and challenge one another respectfully. They were also great at using the language stems to develop on their arguments. Tower Hamlets Oracy Hub Voice 21 Oracy.

In year 6 we have been reading a beautiful book called “The soup movement” by Ben Davis . We have been wondering, what inspired you to write about a boy with cancer?

During our oracy lesson, we discussed the statement; ‘You need a faith to lead a good life.’ We split up into builders and challengers in our groups, then opened the debate to the rest of the class. We also utilised our RE knowledge during the debate. Tower Hamlets Oracy Hub Voice 21 Oracy
