This moped attracted our attention on 4 May, overtaking multiple vehicles on Furtherwick Road, #Canvey. It failed to stop and was found decamped nearby. Enquiries on the moped established it is a cloned vehicle - no insurance so was seized.

4 May #Canvey - we arrested a 16 year old boy on five counts of assault of an emergency worker.  The boy spat at several officers and another received a cut to his hand whilst he was being detained.  He has been released on Police bail whilst we continue our investigation.

This week we continued our community safety initiative with year 6 students from #HadleighJuniorSchool. We stopped 33 vehicles for excess speed, 7 were travelling at 37mph. All spoken to by year 6 students to raise awareness around speed. #VisionZero

Officers from the Essex OSG drone team conduct patrols at Woodside Park #Benfleet following ongoing reports of antisocial behaviour and criminal damage at the location. #ProtectingandservingEssex

Whilst patrolling #Hadleigh, around 3am on 18 May officers saw a man running from a car in Castle Road. He left behind a red Ford Fiesta which was running. Enquiries reveal that the Fiesta was on false plates and was in fact stolen from #Grays in March. Inc 0165-1805 refers.

A 31 year old man from #Witham has been arrested, charged and remanded for 17 shoplifting offences. 12 of these were committed in #Hadleigh. At court Lloyd Miller, of King Edward Way ,was remanded to await trial in June. We are also seeking a CBO upon conviction/

Following a knife point robbery on #Canvey 21 May, a 33 year old man has been arrested, charged and remanded to court. Read more here esxpol.uk/JSN6S

Officers prevented a large illegal car cruiser event at Roscommon Way #Canvey on 27 May. The vehicles appeared to come from a #Southend event, however officers were already on scene to disperse them as soon as they arrived. A PSPO is in place - esxpol.uk/7Ivp6
