My #weekendread was written by an author I don't always like. His novels go off the rails for me, but his book on writing is recommended for writers everywhere. He's astute and funny, making for an essential writing guide. Also, yes, the cover is awful. amzn.to/3Xa6MHF

My #weekendread was this slim volume where Rushdie uses a terrifying moment to discuss radicalization through social media, the figurative meaning of his blindness, and maintaining happiness in a difficult world. A compelling work. amzn.to/3V4Kvbz

Come on SiteGround - refusing to let people email you at a help email? That's #badservice and does not help customers at all. Do better and your customers won't leave you so often.

linMy #weekendread was from a thoughtful leader in #education, but it's also not a lot more than a pitch for Khan Academy. I admire their goals, but Khan seems too trusting in #BigAI for his perspective to be useful. #AI #readinglist amzn.to/3VQl5Pp

Seems funny, but dismissing the theft of #IP from #creators leads to the first two waves and they all lead to the third one. @Credtent's goal is to ensure credible #content is used by the best LLMs and creators are paid or can opt out of AI training, weakening those waves.

My #weekendread was the snappy but reasonably helpful Supercommunicators. A good overview of how to communicate effectively on a personal level, these techniques are natural for some people, but revelatory for others. Recommended for the uninitiated. amzn.to/3xA1efn

An update to one of my favorite #books about using #gametheory in life was my #weekendread. This is certainly one of the most useful books on my shelves. Highly #recommended. #readinglist amzn.to/3W6S9Uy

Lucid dreaming is a passing interest to me, so Jandial's excellent #book on dreams was my #weekendread. One of the better titles on the subject, I appreciated the author's thoughtful and serious take on the subject. amzn.to/45QQh5C #readinglist #recommended

#Deepfakes are bad enough when shared by some random person. When the richest man in the world and the head of a #socialmedia platform retweets one, we've got problems. medium.com/credtent-on-co…

My #weekendread was the alarming Black Pill, a review of the development of the 4Chan and related communities, including how they got first the Red Pill, and then the Black Pill as they got deeper into conspiracy theories. Needs more research! amzn.to/3SDW9tI

My #weekendread was a useful book about how the power of #storytelling can be misused. It's a good survey but it's also quite short on solutions to address these issues and deeply biased in presentation. Even so, a worthwhile read. amzn.to/4cklGil

My #weekendread is a book I wanted to like more than I did. Brooks has many salient points, but too much material is couched in his personal religious beliefs for it to be as universal as I'd like. Read a summary and you'll be fine. amzn.to/4fufIhL #character #readinglist

My #weekendread proves Nate Silver remains interesting for data geeks & statistics nerds. While he spends a bit too long on his SBF odyssey, the concept of living a risk-focused lifestyle ("In The River") based on the data is intriguing. #recommended amzn.to/3Z4d1hd
