I warmly welcome today's ratification of the Rome Statutes by the Ukrainian Parliament. There must be no impunity for war crimes or crimes against humanity. This is the right choice for a country battered by war while striving to help build a better and more just world order.

We strongly condemn the Vice and Virtue decree in Afghanistan. Women have an inherent right to participate in public life. Any action that undermines their freedom and dignity must be opposed. The international community must stand firm in supporting the rights of Afghan women.

Today, we mark #Ukraine's Independence Day. For 913 days, Ukraine has defended its own freedom, as well as peace and stability on our continent. Ukraine's heroic resistance reminds us of this. Norway will #StandWithUkraine for its freedom, throughout and beyond the war.

Norway condemns the horrific attack in Solingen, killing and injuring several people. Our hearts go out to all who lost loved ones, and we wish for a speedy recovery for those injured. Norway stands with the people of Germany in this difficult time.

I condemn the attack on the synagogue in La Grande-Motte.  It was an act of antisemitism. Our thoughts to all affected in France and the Jewish community.  We must all fight against antisemitism. We must all stand up against prejudice and racism in all its forms.
