Our 10 yr old found out that my husband lost a friend today and when we came into our bedroom, we found that she had left my husband’s side of the bed encircled with her favorite stuffies and a card she made for him.

I just walked past my 12 yo son’s baseball camp in Central Park &he left practice to trot over to give me a hug &that little thing may be the greatest thing that happens all day.* *even including I’m going to a Broadway show that starts at 5 pm this evening & will walk home by 7

I was reading Harry Potter book 7 to the kids on a road trip this afternoon & asked if they knew the word “sycophant.” My 10 yr old defined it using Gretchen & Karen’s devotion to Regina George in Mean Girls the musical as an example & I’m feeling like an excellent parent today

A freshman at MLK Prep (Tenn.) wore the same clothes to school everyday and was getting bullied. Two high school football players shut that down and gave him clothes and new shoes.🙏 The boy said - “It was the best day of my entire life.”❤️

I truly love that the person who will become our first female President has her own name and not the surname of her husband. You can note it’s her father’s last name, but that’s missing the point. It’s her identity, the name SHE made to mean something.

My 12 yr old said he didn’t have a good first day of school yesterday. When I asked him whom he sat w at lunch, he said he chose to sit w the 4 new kids to school, who just entered his grade, to welcome them. My kid may not have had a good day, but gosh, is he a good person.
