Beautiful #glassart birds, SciArt and #ornithology. Find me in Snowdonia, with a long dog and a good book. Passion and opinions my own. https://t.co/ng9Fzl4yP5

This Long-billed Dowitcher was a surprise for #SCAN ringers in #NorthWales at the weekend, only the third ever ringed in the UK. See this week's Andrew Forgrave BirdNotes for news of this and other sightings. Thanks to Joel Tragen for the great photos.

Thank you for lovely pictures SWANWATCHUK - a total surprise to find this among 150 Redshank caught for Lavan Sands ringing and survival monitoring. 3rd Long-billed Dowitcher ever ringed in the UK, a first-winter bird probably flicked across the Atlantic by US hurricane season.
Dr. Rachel C. Taylor (powered by ko-fi) It's a local bird, my town is literally called 'valley of swans' in French. (Val'en-cygnes, Valenciennes). Lovely majestic water bird.

What we learned from COVID? That oil is worthless in a society without consumption. That healthcare has to be public because health is public. That 50% of jobs can be done from home while the other 50% deserve more than they're being paid. That we live in a society not an economy
