5 call-outs yesterday for the hodnet crew, 2 x RTC, 1 x standby, 1 x garden fire, 1 x AFA.

Road traffic collision training last night. We were practising different cutting techniques for a car that rolled over. finished at 20.30 then had a follow on call-out from SFRS Control to house fire persons reported at Newport. This turned out to be false alarm good intent.

10.14 mobilised by SFRS Control along with Prees Fire Station to Market drayton for house fire, smoke issueing. Fire affecting front of property, 2 BA extinguished using 1 hrj, 2x BA ventilated property and 4 dogs rescued. Smoke alarms sounding so helped to alert delivery driver

Took part in a multi agency response to a helicopter crash exercise at tern hill yesterday. Successfully extinguished fire and rescued 4 casualties, working with Market Drayton Wellington Station Capita Fire and Rescue and air ambulance. Then had familiarisation round a helicopter afterwards

Interesting couple of days with Hodnet Fire Station with a cat rescued from tree on Thursday and donkey rescued from drain on Friday #animalrescue #oncallfire #notjustfires. Worked alongside Market Drayton Telford Station Wellington Station

Last night we set up 4 scenarios for a new incident commander Tom Benbow to deal with. Car fire, afa, bin fire and house fire to help to prepare for real life scenarios. Thanks to the crew (and families) for there support as we started early and put a lot of effort in.
