Derek Fossier I’m listening to the meeting now and am shocked how firmly Royce Duplessis is pushing for violent offenders. He should push this firmly for family values, education achievement and personal responsibility.

Fully adjudicated cases of women raped and murdered, a toddler beaten to death with a belt, multiple murder victims; all done by violent criminals released early on an expedited subsequent post conviction relief process in Orleans Parish. DA Williams will have a lot more

Are dead rats making New Orleans' city hall unusable? According to hall sources, there may be “thousands” of rotting corpses in the building that are “exploding” & releasing noxious gases nola.com/gambit/news/th…

Court records show the woman accused in Sunday night's deadly shooting in Mid-City was arrested for a different murder in March of 2023. I asked Metropolitan Crime Commission President Rafael Goyeneche why. WGNO-TV (ABC) New Orleans

Here r some details: None of the 40 released were factually innocent, many admitting their crimes; murderers of spouse’s & children, armed robbers, several have already committed more crimes, no hearings, pretexts contrary to case law & much more #lalege

Well that sure is interesting! Explains a lot about why we were getting fed those ridiculous legal theories yesterday. Royce Duplessis is on the Board of Directors of the Innocence Project. Bayou Mama Bears

It’s time for New Orleans to be safe again! The legislature wants to know exactly why Orleans DA Jason Williams allowed convicted murders to be let out of prison early. By gathering more information, we will get to the bottom of this important public safety issue. I want to

"He did that side-step thing again." Why is DA Williams trying to skirt the committee's request to have Emily Maw testify? Williams created the civil rights division in his office and named Maw chief. #lalege

The City of New Orleans owes roughly $39 million from more than 500 unpaid judgments that date almost 30 years. James Finn reports on this insanity: nola.com/news/politics/…

🎡 NOPD is looking for Henry Jones who is suspected of an August 27 burglary. But he was arrested in July for burglary, in June for burglary, and last September for burglary and 2 other charges. When do consequences kick in?

Fix New Orleans I am the victim in the June 29 burglary. I have it on HD video and gave to detectives. Bail went from $25,000 to a free release in days. He was already on probation when he did it, which should have prompted a hold. The criminal justice system is completely broken.
