Day three of #NationalAviationWeek and today we’re highlighting Bessie Coleman! ✨ The first African American woman to earn a pilot’s license, Coleman broke barriers in aviation and continues to inspire pilots everywhere. 👏

There was landing gear issue with a small aircraft. The aircraft landed safely, there were no injuries, and the aircraft is being removed from the airfield.

The runway and the airfield are now open.

In celebration of National Aviation Week, we honor aviation trailblazers like Jerrie Mock, the first woman to fly solo around the world in 1964! 💪  Her journey in the "Spirit of Columbus" inspires all who take to the skies from PTI. ✨🛩️
