Dosbarth Wrexham had a ‘Roarsome’ day had at Dan-yr-Ogof Dan-yr-Ogof today. Fochriw Primary
We did a great job decorating the biscuits and cakes we baked yesterday. We think our bear biscuits are ‘bearific’🐻 We can’t wait to celebrate the end of a fabulous year of fun and adventures with you and your bears tomorrow. Fochriw Primary
We can’t wait to see all of our Dosbarth Wrexham family tomorrow. We’ve been working hard to get our learning space ready for you. We think you’ll notice a few changes and I’m sure we’ll have lots of fun and adventures over the next year. See you tomorrow. Fochriw Primary
Exploring new authentic resources in our playdough area. We loved experimenting with the pasta maker. Fochriw Primary
We have loved our new wardrobe and dressing table. Such imagination when dressing up and taking on roles. Mrs Baker can highly recommend the treatments at the salon. The beauticians identified a shortfall in equipment though so wrote a shopping list for what they needed. Fochriw Primary
Our children have led the design of our cookery area from the start. They contributed ideas about what we needed and arranged the resources. As they began setting up the area they thought about extra resources they needed and wrote a list. #pupilvoice #independentlearning Fochriw Primary
#healthyconfidentindividusls enjoying our Daily (s)mile today. We had lots of fun moving in different ways to music, even jumping like frogs! 🐸 Fochriw Primary
What an exciting morning we had finding a frog in our playground. 🐸 We very carefully observed him then released him in a safe place. This unplanned stimulus has fired up our curiosity and will now direct our learning . We were so excited we even became frogs ourselves! Fochriw Primary
Our new Forest School transition room is all set up and ready and we couldn’t wait to get back to it. We were very proud adults witnessing how independent our children were at getting dressed and undressed and helping their friends if they needed it. Fochriw Primary
First Forest School session of the year and it was filled with awe, wonder, curiosity and joy. The children loved finding little Forest friends and exploring the ‘deep dark wood’. They challenged themselves physically and faced fears. We can’t wait to go again next week. Fochriw Primary
When children work together in an environment that fosters independence and creativity great things can happen. This group of ambitious constructors collaborated to create a zoo in block play. #ambitiouscapeablelearners Fochriw Primary
This week was a climbing week in Forest School. A fabulous way to develop confidence and self-esteem. All children felt huge levels of pride, whether they got 6 inches off the ground or almost to the top! Also amazing for development of the muscles needed for writing. Fochriw Primary
Our brilliant bakers made an excellent job of making some lemon cookies for our parent meet and greet session. So many skills practised independently - measuring, mixing, cutting, squeezing, setting a timer, keeping their work area and equipment clean and so much more. Fochriw Primary
Thank you to all parents who attended our Meet and Greet session to see our new classroom layout with areas specially designed to foster independence skills. ⚒️🪡🧑🍳 We’re glad you enjoyed the cookies the children made in the baking area. 🍋🍪😋 Fochriw Primary
