No joy for #Ivermectin as ACTIV-6 results get posted. This was a US-based randomized, placebo-controlled trial (N=1,800) of 400ug/kg ivermectin x 3 days in outpatients with COVID-19. Primary outcome: time to recovery. No difference.

Attending on the general medicine service this week and I just want to say that physical therapy may be the most important job in the hospital.

Seeing a dramatic early surge of RSV hospitalizations in kids here Yale University and around the country. About a month early, which doesn't bode well. The concern is that waning immunity (due to covid distancing) has left kids vulnerable to more severe RSV complications.

It is probably the CDCs most baffling guideline - isolate for five days after a positive covid test, without a need for a negative test to de-isolate.
