(1/3) SynthSeg 2.0 is finally out on PNASNews and publicly available on FreeSurfer (surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/SynthSeg). It segments clinical brain MRI of any orientation, resolution and pulse sequence. The output is always at 1x1x1mm resolution, no matter what the input resolution is.
SynthSeg 1 finally accepted in Medical Image Analysis! -yes, 1 week after the paper on version 2; don't ask :-) Paper: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Code: github.com/BBillot/SynthS… Implementation in FreeSurfer : surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/SynthSeg With B.Billot Koen Van Leemput Adrian Dalca & others
Surprise! SynthStrip can often skullstrip MRI with motion artifacts, despite not seeing this at training. Tool at w3id.org/synthstrip FreeSurfer Adrian Dalca MIT Clinical and Applied Machine Learning MIT CSAIL MGH Martinos Center
