It’s time for us in the Brazilian diaspora to GO BEYOND

The Israeli people point the finger squarely at Netanyahu over his failure to cut a ceasefire/hostage release deal

The background to "skunk water" (a truly noxious liquid) is that it was developed for use against Palestinian protestors in the occupied West Bank. State oppression is always available for use against those it claims to protect.

A decade ago at least, when I still wrote for +972 Magazine, we said that one day police would use West Bank occupation tactics on Jewish Israelis. Happening now.

Just after he asks the Israeli public for forgiveness for not getting those six hostages back, Netanyahu takes the moment to literally lecture the public on the geo-strategic importance of the Philadelphi Corridor - his own barrier in blocking successful hostage negotiations.

On Netanyahu's map, the entire West Bank (including East Jerusalem), where millions of Palestinians have lived under Israeli military occupation for 57 years, has been erased and the whole region outside Gaza is labelled "Israel." He stands by the river and points to the sea.

Of course, the West Bank does not exist on Netanyahu's map. And Gaza is the forever Israeli enclave. This speech will go down in history as Netanyahu's open admission to that world that Israel will remain between the river and the sea indefinitely, as long as he rules.
