Off to Saint Joseph’s College of Maine this morning to teach a course on Sports and Recreation Facilities Planning and Management. 8:00-9:45. 29 students on the roster - looking forward to this semester.

Day #1 of the fall semester at Saint Joseph's College is in the books. 29 students are enrolled in my sport facilities class, one below full capacity. It was a beautiful day on the shore of Sebago Lake. I always enjoy this view from the third floor of Alfond Hall. #blessed

Best wishes to my former student Dr. Julie Hackett, superintendent of schools in Lexington, Massachusetts, for another great academic year. Great things happening in the schools of one of the nation's most historic communities.

t was great seeing my longtime friend and Mattanawcook Academy classmate Ron McComb at the University of Maine on Friday. Ron and I have known each other beginning in third grade. I enjoyed catching up with him and watching the second half of the UMaine/Colgate game.

A phenomenon setting for my morning walk . . .

Three years ago today, I met up with this grizzled guy just west of the Kennebec River while practicing the art of being a "trail angel". A few weeks later Pete Shambo scaled Mt. Katahdin to complete the Appalachian Trail. Great memories of a fantastic day.
