at 75,000 words, there are 40,000 words until The Tides that Bind Part 2 (and thus the duology) is complete. So excited! Seems like a lot but it's actually very little, for the story that still needs to unfold.

I love my adjectives, adverbs, similes and metaphors. Hemmingway can jump over a bridge.

You KNOW you're an author at heart when you write and find fulfillment not in money or success but just in people reading your story.

My creative writing lecturer says good writers use the least amount of words possible and are economical with words. I disagree. I think great writers make you feel, whether more reticent or more abundant in diction.
