We remain committed to making TN State Parks the most accessible parks in the nation. This year, we dedicated $3 million to Access 2030, a plan to ensure Tennesseans & visitors with disabilities can enjoy parks across the Volunteer State.

TN remains dedicated to strengthening reading skills so that every student can thrive in the classroom & beyond. We’ve prioritized a plan to give families multiple pathways to literacy success, including $5 million for universal reading screeners & AP Access for All.

Today, flags over the State Capitol will be flown at half-staff through sunset in remembrance of Officer Demetrice Johnson. Maria & I continue to lift Officer Johnson’s family, loved ones, & the Memphis Police Department up in prayer during this difficult time.

TN’s all-time low unemployment rate of 3% continues for the third consecutive month, ensuring the Volunteer State remains a beacon for opportunity, security, & freedom for all people.

Thank you, Gov. Bill Lee, for supporting moms in Tennessee through the Strong Families Initiative, which will provide free diapers from birth to age two for those on TennCare.

Great to visit Pruitt’s Pharmacy & extend free diapers to moms in need through TN’s first-in-the-nation diaper initiative, which covers the cost of diapers for children under 2 on TennCare. The program has already served 9,000 TN in only two weeks, & we’re just getting started.

TN’s July revenues exceeded expectations in the final month of the fiscal year, soaring to $1.7 billion. TN is on track to meet revised budget projections from the 2024 fiscal year thanks to these healthy collections, which are up $51.2 million from last year.

TN’s first-in-the-nation diaper program is up & running for children under two on TennCare. Families in need are invited to visit tn.gov/TennCare to learn more & receive up to 100 free diapers per month, easing one of the largest financial burdens on new families.
