I remember when pitchers use to trust their stuff. If they executed a pitch, they felt like you weren't hitting it. Now they think that they have to trick you to get you out. I wonder if MLB teams will start hiring delivery designers to go with the pitch design crew.

This was always a fun part of the game for me. You had to be creative around the bag & protect yourself at all times. It was a cat and mouse game between going inside/outside. Also knowing who wanted to knock your block off. Some guys were looking for contact & I loved it!

I never met a good infielder that practiced/played with low energy. You want to be great in the infield it has to be apart of your DNA. Its the only way you'll get better. You may think some big leaguers are that way but I promise you they were developed w/a high octane motor.
