Love. I hope this is the image remembered and not the hate. Lin Yu-Ting being comforted by other medalists after she won gold and made history. Everyone knows what she has had to go through these past few days and how hard she fought for her country, her mom, and herself.

Lin Yu-ting really does embody the Taiwanese experience of being constantly told you aren’t and can’t be what you know you are and what you must be.
