Looking for volunteers to assist with #frog #fieldwork. Great opportunity to contribute to conservation research, gain field skills, and see a beautiful part of Australia.

Corticosterone is often called the "stress hormone", but is also involved in energy regulation and immune function. Can a mother's corticosterone levels shape her offspring's traits? My honours research is now online and open access: journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.10…

#FrogIDWeek starts today! And it conveniently coincides with my fieldwork. I'll be tracking frogs and using this opportunity to record and submit any frogs I hear to FrogID. Download the #FrogID app and get recording to learn about your local frogs and contribute to science!

Celebrating the last day of #FrogIDWeek with endangered Booroolong #frogs. This male is doing his best to attract a mate whilst staying hidden. Listen out for his call - it sounds a bit like water flowing over rocks. Keep those recordings coming! FrogID #CitizenScience

“Frogs need to be prioritised in urban planning and conservation decisions,” lead author of the study and PhD candidate Gracie Liu from UNSW Science says. The study used data from FrogID, a project led by Jodi Rowley that monitors frogs to advance conservation efforts.

New FrogID research led by Corey Callaghan reveals how frogs are responding to urbanisation. While many Australian #frog species persist in cities, the number of species in urban areas is less than half that of adjacent natural areas. #WildOz australian.museum/blog/amri-news…

We're more than halfway through #FrogIDWeek! Found this southern green stream frog (Litoria nudidigitus) whilst searching for frogs to record on the FrogID app. It was sitting out on the leaves, totally unfazed by the rain. Submit a call to find out what frogs are near you!
