With permission from Nate Woodbury and Kelsea Beth out of Davison, MI, we were able to share these what appear to be 3-inch hail stones that fell today in the city with you all! The SPC storm reports page indicates 2.75” hail fell across the area, but it appears we’ve just found

The Illinois State Geological Survey Winthrop Harbor buoy (#45187) was struck earlier this summer and knocked off the anemometer. The damage to the 板呉 白黒 stainless steel solar frame and pole was impressive! After being ran off the by thunderstorms, we finally got a new top installed! LimnoTech

Built Freeboard Technology a platform in LimnoTech's pond to quickly mount and test new dataloggers, and water/atmospheric sensors. Currently comparing various non-contact level measurement performances. We don't get waves but ripples are enough to cause performance degradation.

Setup shop yesterday in @RAEON's lab installing a new datalogger enclosure, repaired ADCP cable, and wind speed/direction sensor. Also visited Stoney Point, ON to scope out a new LoRaWAN gateway install to cover Lake St. Clair. Freeboard Technology

First crack at home made desiccant tubes! Sometimes you need something a manufacturer doesn't have or don't want to pay the high cost.

Last week of using natures dock for accessing sensors/loggers at the @Limnotech pond. It was nice but ready for the warmer weather!

Hitting the climax of buoy prep and deployments. Planning to deploy eight buoys this week for the Cleveland Water Alliance between Sheiffield and Ashtabula, OH. Hopefully, pretty pictures will follow! @Limnotech

I was fixing the City of Toledo Crib buoy (id 45165) camera and found The University of Toledo Lake Erie Center conducting their water quality sampling! Looks like a great day on the water! You can check out 45165 data at limno.io/station/45165/.

Emergency visit to Cleveland Tuesday to address 2 buoys keeping lake bottom hypoxia from being measured and disseminated to Cleveland Water. A YSI, a Xylem brand sonde that wouldn't power up and a non- responsive @CampBellsci logger was unexpected! Got both working on site! LimnoTech

Tech overload! Putting the finishing touches on 10 control boards that provide power & communications through a @campbellsci logger to a Teledyne ISCO autosampler, custom fridge, and orthophosphate analyzer. Will also be able trigger all ISCOs through a dashboard! Freeboard Technology
